About the Spanish...
About the Spanish in this poem...I started studying Spanish in high school as it seemed to make sense in Los Angeles. I really picked it up when I did a homestay with a family in Mexico for two months.
The Spanish in this poem, though, is probably not correct. Only one person corrected me, though. I made the fix. I know the word "jura" is of sketchy meaning, but in my extended family, it's a slang word for the police, the law.
Anyway, this poem is not really Spanglish, either. It's just me trying something. Spanglish is really about common patterns when people mix English and Spanish every day. Mine is just my own pattern making.
